Iceland's national day celebrated at the Akureyri Botanic Gardens

To celebrate the birthday of independence leader Jón Sigurðsson and Iceland's national day, there will be a full schedule of events held at the Akureyri Botanic Gardens on the 17th of June.

The event begins at 1pm with a flag ceremony and includes music and dance, concluding at 5pm. Family entertainment is on offer with theatre, a funfair, face painting and jumping castle. On site catering will be available with several food vans in attendance.
