Rökkurró, opening ceremony of the Akureyri Culture Festival.

We welcome you to Rökkurró, the opening ceremony of the Akureyri Culture Festival, held at the Lystigarður on the evening of Friday 25th of August. The ceremony begins with an address from the president of Iceland, Guðni Th. Jóhannessonar, at 8pm. 

The night will include music, dance and a presentation of the events on offer for the festival which runs over the weekend. The event is free and is expected to end at around 9:30pm, the garden being lit up with string lights. More information about the event can be found here.
